Creating/Updating Your Mediator Directory Listing

 

The Mediator Directory is a paid service for advertising your mediation practice on the OMA website.  Potential clients can search for you by your name, company / organization name, city, or practice specialties(s).  Advertising in the Mediator Directory adds $120 to your annual membership dues at any level.

  1. Near the top right of the page in light text, under “What would you like to do?”, click on the drop-down menu, then on “Update My Profile“.
  2. You may add a photo to your Mediator Directory web page, or replace the current one. (A .png or .jpg file 150 pixels wide and under 200 pixels tall is optimal.) Click on “UPLOAD A NEW PHOTO”.  Select the photograph to upload, and click Save.  Note: your photograph must be approved by OMA before it will show in the Mediator Directory.
  3. Scroll down the page to the (Mediator Directory Advertisers only) area.
  4. The first three fields that publicly display in the Mediator Directory Advertisers area are Name and/or Company, Website, and Contact Information.  While these appear to duplicate some information that stored in your private account, they are different in an important way.  They allow you to present the information in a clearer, more customizable form than the “ordinary” fields above – such as listing Dr., and/or name of your business in your ad first.  (Do NOT enter HTML codes in these fields; they do not currently support formatting or hyperlinks.
  5. Type your name and organization name where it says “Name, Company”: To ensure the best results when people search for you, we recommend the format:
    1. John J. Doe PhD, Acme Consulting.
  6. Type your website’s URL in the URL: field. The field is above (Attorney Information), you’ll have to temporarily scroll a little up. While the field is listed as URL, it shows up under “Website” in the directory.  Do not include the “http://” portion, and do not enter any hyperlinking code.
  7. Type your complete contact information in the Contact Information: field. The recommended format is:

    • Phone: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
      Email: [email protected]
      Fax: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
      xxx Street or Road
      City, OR xxxxx
  8. The Practice Description, Background, Education / Training, and Fee Information are freeform fields.  You may enter text in them any way you wish.  Do not include formatting codes (e.g., bold), HTML, or hyperlinks – these will not work.  Scroll through other advertisers’ listings to get an idea of how to best present your practice.
  9. Type your information in the Practice Description, Approach to Practice/Form of Mediation, Background, Education / Training, and Fee Information fields.
  10. Check the appropriate check boxes in the Practice Areas, Locations Served, Language(s) Spoken, and Additional Professional Services areas.
  11. Take a moment and verify that all other profile information is current and correct.
  12. When you are satisfied, scroll to the very bottom of the page and click the SUBMIT button.

You will be returned to the Welcome screen. You may choose another action from the “What would you like to do?” dropdown, or close your browser tab/window to end your session and log out.
