OMA is pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Cheryl L. Jamison, J.D. Cheryl has a long and varied experience in mediation and conflict resolution. She is a past president of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) and currently serves as its Executive Director. Prior to this, she was the Director of the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence for the Maryland Judiciary’s Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office for 10 years. She also mediated with Baltimore City’s lower level trial court, for community mediation centers, for the Maryland Shared Neutrals Program, and for the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights.
In addition to being a skilled and reflective conflict resolution practitioner, Cheryl is an impactful trainer and educator. She teaches diversity and inclusion as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland. She also taught both undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Baltimore and at Anne Arundel Community College for the Legal Studies Program. Cheryl has developed and conducted workshops on a variety of issues including diversity and inclusion, mediation skills, ethics, team building, negotiations, and how to have a productive difficult conversation.
